The Aleksander Isak transfer saga continues adding fresh narratives with every passing day. The Newcastle United striker has attracted attention from defending Premier League champions Liverpool, with the Reds eager to land the number nine. However, the side will have to go out of their way with a massive transfer fee if they wish to acquire the striker's services.

According to reports, Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal is keen on landing the player, with the team preparing a bid of over $176 million. While this may seem like an outrageous bid, the Saudi Arabian outfit has shown repeatedly that it will not shy away from flexing its financial firepower when needed.

This leaves Liverpool in a tough position, as the Premier League side will now have to come close to the offer if they want anywhere close to getting Isak. While it might seem unexpected to many, it is just what Liverpool might have in mind.

Howe clears stance over potential Isak transfer

Newcastle United are currently in no hurry to sell their top star, with Aleksander Isak still having three years on his contract with the Magpies. The club believes it can easily earn close to $180 million for the striker and is in no mood to part ways for any less.

Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe feels confident Isak will remain with the club, adding the striker is a key player for the team. Howe stated, "The last thing he wanted was to be sitting in the stands watching. That wasn't fair to him. But I'm confident he will be a Newcastle player come the end of the window."

He then added, "We have a few of those players who are irreplaceable. Your top players are so hard to find, so hard to recruit, and so hard to develop. So when you have them, you need to treasure them. Of course, we're desperate to keep him as part of our team."

The upcoming weeks will be crucial in determining Isak's fate at St.James Park. With both Liverpool and Al-Hilal keen on signing the striker, it will be interesting to see how long the Magpies can keep hold of their star player.
