FC Bayern scored a big win over RB Leipzig.
It was not picturesque, but it was almost poetic to see Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala take the pitch for the first time in months and immediately get an assist.
For Musiala, it has been a long road back from a devastating injury sustained at the Club World Cup that saw the youngster have to deal with months of recovery and rehab. Even last week, Musiala was dealing with the after-effects of a setback and needed to stay resilient — which he did.
As happy as Musiala was to get back on the pitch and to get that assist, his teammates were equally happy for him.
“We’re so happy for him because we saw how hard he worked and fought to be back. He’s a world-class player,” said Bayern Munich midfielder Aleksandar Pavlović (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Like his teammates, Pavlović was ecstatic to see Musiala back with the squad. The midfielder also added a goal to Bayern Munich’s effort to really round out the day nicely for him.
