CAN 2025 final: Senegal furious at Morocco

The Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) has officially contacted the Confederation of African Football (CAF) regarding multiple issues ahead of the CAN final against Morocco, scheduled for Sunday.

In an official statement, the FSF denounced security shortcomings during the Lions of Teranga's arrival in Rabat by train from Tangier. The original choice of hotel was also deemed inadequate and only changed after an official complaint to CAF, ultimately allowing the players to benefit from five-star accommodation.

"

The Senegalese also object to the training ground assigned to them, the Mohammed VI complex in Salé, which is the Moroccan team's base camp, arguing that this does not respect fair play. Finally, the FSF criticized the limited ticket allocation: just 2,850 tickets for nearly 70,000 seats, with only two VVIP passes.

"

The Federation is calling on CAF and the local organizing committee to take swift action to ensure fairness and integrity in the competition before the kick-off scheduled for January 18 at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium.
