Atalanta Lock Down Brazil Star Despite Inter Milan, Juventus & Al-Hilal Interest

Atalanta look to have locked down midfielder Ederson despite interest from teams like Inter Milan, Juventus, and Al-Hilal.

This according to today’s print edition of the Corriere della Sera, via FCInterNews. They note, however, that a €65 million from Al-Hilal could still change the situation.

Atalanta midfielder Ederson has been strongly linked with an exit this summer.

The Brazilian has been with La Dea for three seasons now. He joined from Salernitana in the summer of 2022.

And across those three seasons, Ederson has developed into one of the top midfielders in Serie A.

Therefore, it was not hugely surprising to see Inter Milan identify the 25-year-old as a major target to replace Hakan Calhanoglu had the Turk left this summer.

Meanwhile, Inter’s Derby d’Italia rivals Juventus also eyed up a move.

Meanwhile, former Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has also shown an interest in bringing Ederson to Al-Hilal.

Having accepted a departure from Serie A for massive wages, the Nerazzurri coach had hoped to tempt the Brazilian to the Saudi Pro League for similar reasons.

So far, though, Ederson has stayed at Atalanta.

And according to the Corriere della Sera, it now looks exceedingly likely that Ederson will remain an Atalanta player.

If La Dea are to sell Ademola Lookman to Inter, moreover, it will get them a big fee – the Nerazzurri are reportedly ready to increase their bid to around €45 million.

That would mean that Atalanta would have little need for cash. And they would not be keen to lose any more important players from their squad.
