Seven Castain, Cara Martin and Nicole Payne to all sign one-year deals with 2024 NWSL Shield and Champions, Orlando Pride.
Today, the Orlando Pride have announced three additional signings to one-year contracts through 2026: Seven Castain, goalkeeper Cara Martin and defender Nicole Payne.
“As we look to add depth and quality players to our roster ahead of the 2026 season, we are so happy to bring Seven, Cara and Nicole on board with us,” Orlando Pride Head Coach Seb Hines said. “They all provide different strengths while still maintaining the versatility that we look for in players that we want to bring in. We look forward to integrating them with the squad and helping them develop both on and off the field.”
TCU star Castain joins after four seasons collegiately. The senior forward from Utah earned 2025 United Soccer Coaches All-America first-team honors and was a MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist. She tied the program’s single-season scoring record with 17 goals.
Georgetown goalkeeper Martin joins after being named Big East Goalkeeper of the Year as a junior and senior. She also received All-American Third Team honors in her senior season with the Hoyas.
Payne joins after her two seasons with Portland Thorns. She appeared in 19 regular season matches in 2024, before suffering a season-ending injury in the 2025 preseason. The former USC star also played for Paris Saint Germain.
