Los Angeles Rams star Puka Nacua asked for Taco Bell hookups the moment Davante Adams joined his team. But the star wideout had a rather strange request for the perennial Pro Bowler as NFL Training Camp launched this week.
Nacua established himself as the new top wide receiver for the Rams. Even when Cooper Kupp was still an emphasis for Sean McVay and Matthew Stafford. Meaning that Nacua often leads the WR drills during practices -- especially at camp time.
But here's the new request Nacua asked to Adams, revealed by Rams team reporter Stu Jackson on Wednesday night.
"Puka Nacua said he asked Davante Adams to leads the Rams' wide receiver drills out of respect for him, but also so he could watch him do them," Jackson shared on X (formerly Twitter).
That's not all from Jackson. Nacua later explained why he chose to fall in line with Adams on the field.
"When I was in the front, I'm trying to sprint as fast as I can so I can turn around and watch him," Nacua said.
While a strange tactic from a Pro Bowl WR, it's still a measure of respect Nacua is showing. He's eager to learn and pick the brain of the well-established WR.
Adams brings six Pro Bowl nods in tow over to the "Rams House" this fall. He's expected to play an integral part for a Rams team that thrives on airing it out. Many fans and analyst are already believing Adams will earn a seventh Pro Bowl bid this season -- this time with his fourth NFL franchise.
Now Nacua is observing his work ethic and drive -- in the attempt to add to his own receiving game.
