Maxx Crosby makes announcement after James Harden passes Shaq for 9th on NBA All-Time scoring list.
Los Angeles Clippers guard James Harden officially ascended to 9th place on the NBA's all-time scoring list and continued his climb in the third quarter as Harden passed Shaquille O'Neal's career total on Monday.
Later on, Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby posted an Instagram story that Harden reached the landmark achievement.

11-time NBA All-Star Harden entered the contest 14 points shy of the mark. He finished with 32 points and 10 assists, while propelling his career total to 28,614 points in his 1,187th regular-season appearance.
Harden was honored by the move, having watched O'Neal during his childhood in L.A.
“Shaquille O’Neal, somebody that I literally grew up watching here in L.A.,” Harden said. “Him and Kobe (Bryant) doing their thing, winning multiple championships, the most dominant big man in the history of the game. It’s a true honor, it’s a testament to the work that I put in.”
Raiders star Crosby has been the most vocal supporter that Harden has in the NFL, calling him family frequently under his mentorship.
Along with mentorship, the athletes also share high-profile jersey swaps and shared history after a $106.5 million extension in the 2025 season.
“I am a die-hard James Harden fan, been rocking with him ever since he got to Houston,” Crosby said last season, per EssentiallySports.
NFL Five-time Pro Bowler has been supporting Clippers star James Harden throughout the 2025-26 NBA campaign. Crosby also attended recent games, further reinforcing the alliance between the two elites.
