EVANSVILLE, Ind (WEHT) – The University of Southern Indiana women eye a chance of revenge against Tennessee Tech in their next Ohio Valley conference matchup.

The Screaming Eagles lost to the Golden Eagles three times last season including a 88-78 semifinals loss in the OVC conference tournament.

Rick Stein’s group would love nothing more than to send the out going Tech team (The Golden Eagles are moving to the Southern Conference after this athletic year.) with a parting gift.

“I think right from jump when we got into the league, this turned into one of those you know mini rivalries right away even though we really just got into the league. But you know do we want to beat each other absolutely. A lot of respect for their program and how they do things, their coaches. Again they’re the defending champions and everybody knows that, and that’s what happens.”

USI will take on the Golden Eagles on the road Thursday, January 15th, at 5:30 p.m. The game is scheduled to stream on ESPN Plus.
