Indiana football landed a key addition to its secondary for the 2026 season on Monday afternoon.
Indiana just added onto a strong secondary for the 2026 season.
A.J. Harris, a junior cornerback formerly of Penn State, committed to join the Hoosiers out of the transfer portal on Monday afternoon, per ESPN’s Pete Thamel. He’s rated as a 3-star prospect and ranks in as the 17th highest-rated cornerback and 207th highest-rated prospect overall, per the Rivals Industry Ranking (247Sports ranks him even higher, as the 6th highest-rated CB available). Before Penn State, Harris spent a single season at Georgia in 2023. He attended Central High School in Phenix City, Alabama, (fellow Indiana commit Jiquan Sanks also attended Central) and was a member of the high school class of 2023.
Harris played sparingly as a true freshman with the Bulldogs before becoming a key part of the Nittany Lions’ secondary starting in 2024. He’s totaled 89 tackles (56 solo), six passes defended and one interception, with the majority of that production coming during his time at Penn State.
He figures to be a key part of Indiana’s secondary in 2026.
