FC Heidenheim has confirmed another winter signing as Christian Conteh joins from Eintracht Braunschweig with immediate effect.
The versatile attacking player – born in Hamburg – has signed a contract at the Baden-Württemberg club until June 30, 2029.
“With the signing of Christian Conteh, we've added a player to our squad who can be deployed offensively on both wings as well as in the center.
"His exceptional speed and dribbling skills perfectly match our requirements. Christian had a strong first half of the season with Eintracht Braunschweig.
“We're delighted that the transfer went through so quickly and that we now have another attacking option in our ranks,” said Holger Sanwald, CEO of FC Heidenheim.
Like his brother and now fellow Heidenheim teammate Sirlord Conteh – he initially came through the youth ranks at Concordia Hamburg.
After a brief spell in St.Pauli's underage system, he transferred to Dutch first-division club Feyenoord Rotterdam in 2020.
From there, he went on loan to SV Sandhausen, FC Dordrecht, and Dynamo Dresden before his contract with Feyenoord was terminated.
VfL Osnabrück signed him permanently in 2023, before he moved to Eintracht Braunschweig in the summer of 2024.
During his career in both the 3.Liga and 2. Bundesliga so far, the 26-year-old has provided 13 goals and 11 assists in 98 games.
