Arman Tsarukyan opened up on the enormous amount of money he was paid to grapple with MMA Guru and another influencer during a recent live stream.
The UFC lightweight contender spent the day before RAF05 at Adin Ross’ warehouse in Miami. While there, he met several influencers, including Ross’ friend ‘Sweater God’ and MMA Guru, also known as Kyle Mee.
After spending some time debating with Guru while the three hung out in Ross’ room, they eventually moved over to the ring. Once there, the 29-year-old took part in a grappling session with both Guru and Sweater God, who tried to use their size advantage just to get anywhere near his legs.
Arman Tsarukyan says he was paid $40,000 to grapple with MMA Guru
Tsarukyan claims he pocketed $40,000 during a recent stream with MMA Guru. The challenge saw him face off against two heavier men, with the catch being that if either managed to land a takedown or even just reach his legs, he would lose the payout promised by Ross.
‘Ahalkalakets’ has an impressive grappling resume, and he backed it up by beating Lance Palmer 10-0 at RAF05 the following night. In the UFC, he averages more than three takedowns per fight and boasts a 75% takedown defence.
Ross put $20,000 on his friend Sweater God managing a takedown, before going double or nothing when the controversial YouTuber had his turn against the top-ranked lightweight. Neither was successful.
Asked afterwards by The Schmo whether it was “the easiest thing he’s ever done,” Tsarukyan responded: “No, yesterday I made 40K for one minute just to slam a couple of fat guys… I’m making money every day.”
