After losing his card in 2025, Anthony Kim has bounced back and secured a full LIV Golf spot for the 2026 season thanks to an impressive run in Florida last week.

Kim had lost his playing status following relegation but responded with an impressive performance at the LIV Golf Promotions event, earning his way back with two solid rounds.

This year’s tournament was held at Black Diamond Ranch in Florida, featuring several big names looking to make their way into the main tour. Among them was former Ryder Cup player Chris Wood.

Just three spots were up for grabs, and Kim claimed the final one with rounds of 66 and 69 over the weekend.

Phil Mickelson shared his excitement about Kim’s return on X.

The 40-year-old also received numerous other messages of goodwill.

Billy Horschel has made it clear that he believes the PGA Tour and LIV Golf need to find a way to work together.

His view is a bit more balanced compared to some of his peers, which might explain why his message for Kim felt so genuine on Sunday night.

He simply wrote: “Congrats AK!” before replying directly again with: “Massive respect AK!”

Given everything Kim’s been through, it is no wonder that people are behind him. He spent years battling addiction but has turned things around and looks more settled these days.

It will be interesting to see how far he can take this second chance, but there is plenty of support behind him. And one thing is certain – he has definitely earned it.

Kim has put in a lot of effort over the past couple of years to try and get back to his best form.

The 40-year-old struggled throughout the 2025 season, but getting back to top level will not happen overnight – it is going to take time.

This week in Florida, though, he looked sharper than he had in a while.

The hope now is that he can build some momentum next season. If things keep heading in the right direction, maybe even put himself in contention again someday.

But given everything he has dealt with over the past decade or so, just being out there enjoying the game again should count as a win by itself right now.
