Good to see the academy players starting and some even getting a goal. Hope we can play like this in the Premier League and catch up to Arsenal! The defence are still causing concerns with Exeter showing how easy one pass can cut them in half.
We asked for your thoughts after Saturday's 10-1 win over Exeter City in the third round of the FA Cup.
Here are some of your comments:
Youssef: Nice thrashing by City. Good to see the academy players starting and some even getting a goal. Hope we can play like this in the Premier League and catch up to Arsenal!
Dave: Comprehensive and professional without setting the world alight. Great performances from 'the kids' and a good start from Antoine Semenyo. The defence are still causing concerns with Exeter showing how easy one pass can cut them in half.
Andy: Pep Guardiola takes this competition seriously. It was great to see Rodri, Erling Haaland and Nathan Ake taken off at half time as City didn't need any more injuries. You don't often see scores like this despite the gap between the sides in terms of league positions. At least Exeter got a goal for their fans.
Harry: I know we were expected to win, but it was still an incredible showing. Very proud of all the academy players. Ryan McAidoo and Max Alleyne getting their goals means an exciting future for the club. Semenyo was excellent, created lots of chances and finished clinically when given his own chance. Happy and excited for the coming games in the league. Hopefully we can keep this goal scoring going. Credit to Exeter, incredible goal from George Birch and their fans were fantastic. Best of luck in your league run and hopefully the revenue helps.
Gary: There was a good mix of youth and experienced players out there, even with the subs. Exeter City expected to defend and ship a few goals. There was never going to be a major upset, but it was good to see they got their goal which was an excellent strike.
