Roma is working to bring Gian Piero Gasperini his first signing, while also keeping in mind potential departures.
Among the players who were reportedly waiting for the Trigoria transfer window until a few days ago was Evan Ferguson.
However, the Irishman’s permanence in the capital is increasingly likely.
Before Roma vs. Sassuolo, sporting director Frederic Massara had this to say about the striker: “He’s here and he’s a great help. He was born in 2004 and is constantly growing. We’re happy with him and to see him on the pitch tonight. Our hope is to see him here for the entire season, we’ll see.”
Transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano shed light on Ferguson’s situation.
The Irishman’s desire is to stay at Roma at least until the end of the season, a desire he has expressed to his agents.
The situation remains evolving. The Giallorossi, in fact, have not ruled out his exit if the player’s new intentions are to leave Trigoria.
Napoli, however, remain interested in him.
