In a recent report, Fichajes claimed that Chelsea are keeping a keen eye on Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior. It has been mentioned that the Blues are leading the chase for the Brazilian talent, but are facing competition from Arsenal and other Saudi clubs in the race to land him this year.
Vinicius Junior’s Impressive Record In Spanish Football
Vinicius Jr. is having another impressive campaign at the Madrid club as he has produced a run of eye-catching displays for them in the final third. The 25-year-old has found the back of the net five times and earned eight assists in 26 matches for Los Blancos this season across all fronts.
The Brazilian talent has proven his worth in the final third based on his average of 3.21 shots per 90 minutes in La Liga. He has kept 40% of his attempts on target. Vinicius Jr. has been accurate with his ball distribution after completing 79.3% of his attempted passes in the Spanish top tier (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium will expire at the end of next season. Hence, it makes sense for the Blues to try and sign him on the cheap this summer.

Will Vinicius Junior Be A Dream Signing For Chelsea?
Vinicius Jr. is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and has got the vision to engineer some clear-cut chances for others around him on the offensive end of the field. He can shoot the ball with power from long range and can contribute by scoring and creating his fair share of goals from the wide areas.
The Brazilian talent is primarily a left-sided wide player but can also operate as a centre-forward if told to do so. However, it remains to be seen whether he can cope with the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League.
Vinicius Junior would add more pace and firepower to Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior’s attack. He has what it takes to nail down a regular first-team spot at the West London club.
At 25, Vinicius Jr. has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a dream signing for the Blues to consider this month or at the end of this campaign.
