The Horned Frogs added much-needed talent to their secondary.
A much-needed addition to the cornerback room came Sunday afternoon for the TCU Horned Frogs, who’ve received a commitment from Colorado junior defensive back Teon Parks. Parks, who becomes the 12th portal addition for the Horned Frogs, played in 10 games during the 2025 season, making five starts and recording 21 total tackles (20 solo tackles) and two pass breakups. The 6-foot-1, 180-pounder from Detroit, Michigan went to Colorado after beginning his collegiate career at Illinois State, where he played two seasons for the Redbirds.
Chris Hummer of CBS Sports and Jeremy Clark of 247Sports were first to report on Parks, who’s the second transfer portal cornerback added by the Horned Frogs, who’ve already picked up Central Michigan transfer Kalen Carroll. Parks played in 22 games and made seven starts at Illinois State, where he spent two seasons and made all seven of his starts at cornerback in 2024. A three-star transfer last offseason and a two-star recruit out of high school, Parks will improve a TCU cornerback room losing five players including starter Channing Canada along with seniors Avery Helm, Elijah Jackson, Jevon McIver Jr. and freshman Cam Jamerson.
