We are still waiting to see whether Ricky Pearsall plays for the 49ers
We won’t know about the San Francisco 49ers’ official inactive list until 90 minutes before kickoff. However, FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer said that Williams is cleared to play on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles. ESPN’s Adam Schefter confirmed Glazer’s report, saying Williams is expected to play.
Williams is officially questionable after missing Week 18 and all but one snap of Week 17 with a hamstring injury. Willias spoke to the media on Friday, saying, “It’ll probably be in the back of my mind for a little bit, but once you get the juices flowing, the adrenaline, I don’t think it’ll be a problem.”
San Francisco’s offense isn’t the same without Williams. We found out how important he was to the running game and how confident Kyle Shanahan is in the dropback passing game in Week 18. Austen Pleasants received a chip block on nearly half of Brock Purdy’s passes.
We will see if Ricky Pearsall suits up. Pearsall is questionable due to knee and ankle injuries. He did not practice all week, but was seen at the team’s walkthrough. Getting any production from Pearsall would give the offense a boost, especially with how the wide receivers struggled last week.
