Liam Rosenior has hailed the performance of Marc Guiu against Charlton as “magnificent” as he won his first game in charge.
Chelsea avoided a potential banana skin in the third round of the FA Cup as they ran out comfortable 5-1 winners at The Valley.
The Blues had five different scorers, with the pick of the goals undoubtably a brilliant strike from left back Jorrel Hato.
Liam Rosenior praises Marc Guiu performance
Rosenior made a number of changes to the side which lost to Fulham on Wednesday, with Guiu one of those handed a rare start.
It was the first time the Spaniard had played since the quarter final of the Carabao Cup against Cardiff on December 16th.

Guiu managed to get himself on the scoresheet and Rosenior singled him out for praise after the game, as he hailed the 20-year-old’s performance as “magnificent.”
“Marc Guiu was magnificent, deserved his goal,” he told his post match press conference.
Guiu was replaced by Liam Delap in the second half, and it will be interesting to see how many opportunities the youngster gets over the second half of the season.
So far this campaign Guiu has made 13 appearances in all competitions and has scored three goals, but he’s very much behind Delap and Joao Pedro in the pecking order.
Liam Delap preferred to Joao Pedro
It will be interesting to see what Rosenior goes with over the second half of the season, but it was perhaps telling he opted for Delap from the bench over Pedro.
Pedro has played as a number nine on several occasions this season, but clearly isn’t a natural striker, where as Delap is.

There’s also the added factor of Rosenior having worked with Delap at Hull, and he’s clearly a fan of the striker and what he can do.
With the Carabao Cup semi final against Arsenal on Wednesday it will be interesting to see who gets the nod in arguably the biggest game of the season.
