Montilivi achieves the victory

Girona has once again demonstrated why Montilivi has become an impregnable fortress. A narrow victory (1-0) against Osasuna in an extremely balanced and hard-fought match by both teams.

Osasuna stepped onto the field with the clear intention of taking all three points from Montilivi and came out aggressively from the start. The first half was so evenly matched that neither team had clear chances. The only opportunity came in the 45th minute after a good possession by the red-and-whites, which ended with an assist from Àlex Moreno and a backheel finish by Vanat to open the scoring.

In the second half, Montilivi came out strong and stayed on top of the game until the end. Even with the entire team pushing forward, Osasuna failed to create clear chances to equalize. In the final minutes, after a scuffle, Lass was sent off following a clash between the benches of both teams.

The final whistle confirmed that the three points stayed at Montilivi, maintaining the team's upward trajectory. In this way, Girona opens 2026 with two consecutive victories.
