Pitt State men's basketball wins at home against MIAA opponent Newman. HIGHLIGHTS:
PITTSBURG, KS. — In game two of a double-header in John Lance arena, Pitt State men’s basketball also hosted the Newman Jets.
The Gorillas came out hot on offense and found a rhythm early as both Ethan Sage and Donald Coats had dunks on the night against the Jets.
Sage had a career best of 18 points against Newman, had eight rebounds and forced four turnovers.
Pitt State shot 15, three point field goals against Newman and junior guard Connor Rogers led the team in scoring with 22 points and had five rebounds and four assists.
The Gorillas secured a comfortable win of 86-73 against the Jets.
Pitt State men’s basketball will be on the road next Wednesday, January 14 to play Rogers State.
