Football: TCU DB Rohon Kazadi enters transfer portal

The freshman is the son of Kaz Kazadi, who recently parted ways with the program.

The TCU Horned Frogs made a significant staffing change last week, parting ways with lead strength coach Kaz Kazadi, who had served as assistant athletic director for football human performance since December 2021. In light of this news, it appears that Kaz’s son, Rohon Kazadi, a true freshman safety for the Horned Frogs, has put his name into the transfer portal after one year at TCU. The 6-foot-2, 185-pounder from Plano, Texas did not see game action in 2025 and is one of nine Horned Frogs who have declared for the transfer portal this offseason.

Kazadi reportedly entered the transfer portal on Jan. 6, according to 247Sports. A Reddit post also indicated that the freshman safety has opted for the portal. Kazadi held offers from Syracuse, Arizona State, Tulsa, Memphis, Bowling Green and more before signing with TCU. Kazadi was a member of TCU’s 2025 recruiting class.
