Trinidad Chambliss has taken college football by storm.

A national champion at the Division II level a season ago with Ferris State, Chambliss is just two wins with Ole Miss away from being a Division I champ, too.

He's a dynamic quarterback with amazing arm talent, impressive mobility and all the moxie of a guy who knows when he takes the field, he usually wins.

He's also got an awesome name.

He just sounds like a star. You can't be underwhelming with a name like Trinidad Chambliss.

This is where it comes from.

Why did Trinidad Chambliss' parents name him Trinidad?

His mom and dad each had a reason they liked the name, although they weren't the same reason.

His mother's reason was religious. Trinidad in Spanish translates to trinity in English.

His father's was sporting. Dad was a fan of the Puerto Rican boxer Felix Trinidad.

Trinidad Chambliss isn't from the country of Trinidad & Tobago, and neither is his family. But Ole Miss fans have embraced flags of that country anyway to support their QB with that name.
