Borussia Mönchengladbach and Lukas Ullrich have extended their partnership long-term by agreeing on a new contract until 2029.

The Bundesliga club officially announced that the left-back has prematurely extended his deal which was due to expire in the summer of 2027.

The 21-year-old, who joined the Foals from Hertha BSC two and a half years ago, has made 44 appearances in all competitions providing a goal and two assists.

“Lukas is in his third season with us and has developed well,” said Gladbach's sporting director Rouven Schröder, via an online statement after the deal was signed.

"After an initial year of acclimatization, he made his breakthrough as a Bundesliga player last season and regularly demonstrated his great potential in a demanding position.

“We are convinced and expect him to take the next steps positively as an athlete and as a person, and we are delighted that he also sees his future with us,” Schröder added.
