Parma 0-2 Inter Milan – Italy Striker Impresses Despite Failing To Score Again

Inter Milan starlet Francesco Pio Esposito returned to the starting lineup in last night’s 2-0 victory over Serie A minnows Parma.

According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, the 20-year-old fared outstandingly despite failing to find the net.

Cristian Chivu brough the Italian youngster back to the starting XI for the first time since a 2-1 win at Genoa in mid-December.

Meanwhile, the player repaid that trust with his second assist in the last three matches, setting up Federico Dimarco for the opening goal.

Despite scoring just once in 16 Serie A appearances this season, Esposito has been a valuable asset for Chivu.

Indeed, his tactical intelligence and spatial awareness have often been decisive, allowing him to link up play effectively.

Last night, he registered his third Serie A assist of the season, though it’s questionable whether he wanted to pass the ball to Dimarco.

However, he nearly scored earlier in the first half, only for the crossbar to deny his thunderous half-volley from the edge of the six-yard box.
