Storm’s top rookie finally finds her moment.
The Seattle Storm selected 6’6 center Dominique Malonga with the second overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft. Known for her size and athleticism, Malonga has shown flashes of her potential early in her rookie season. On Thursday night, she put together her best performance yet.

Malonga came through in the Storm’s 95-57 win over the Chicago Sky, finishing with 14 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and two blocks. She posted her first career double-double in just 17 minutes of play, proving why she was such a highly anticipated rookie.
Seattle spread the scoring around with six players in double figures. Skylar Diggins led the way with 21 points while Malonga followed behind. The Sky, missing star forward Angel Reese, struggled offensively. No Chicago player scored more than 13 points.

The Storm sit fourth in the league standings with a 15-10 record. With Malonga heating up, this could be the spark that takes her rookie season to the next level.
