Deion Sanders has relied on transfers heavily in his time as the head football coach for the Colorado Buffaloes.

Despite that, he doesn't view the transfer market the way a lot of other schools do.

In an interview on The Morning Run, Sanders explained that he's not going after guys who just want the NIL money.

“They ain’t here about a bag," Sanders said. "They’re here about playing the game of football at its highest level and they know what comes with that.”

It's certainly a fair take by Coach Prime.

Players have always had different priorities. But in this new era of NIL contracts and frequent transfers, it's probably easy for guys to lose focus on the important things.

Colorado can't totally ignore NIL. No program that wants to get the best players can.

But at the same time, Deion knows he wants to prioritize more than just the "bag." He wants players on his team for the right reason.

It's at least a noble pursuit. Whether it can work out remains to be seen.
