The Kentucky Wildcats are back in Rupp Arena tonight for their SEC home opener as they welcome the Missouri Tigers to town. Game time is set for 7:00 PM ET on ESPN2.
With plenty of turmoil surrounding the team’s play at the moment, tonight becomes a rather important one for Mark Pope and this team. Especially in regard to their postseason resume, you cannot drop home games without the lack of high-profile wins.
The Tigers also come into tonight’s game with some momentum as they knocked off Florida in Columbia this past Saturday. Can Dennis Gates and his squad pick up another high-profile win? We’d better hope not.
Tonight will be a “prove it” game for the BBN, as they are hoping to see some fight and adjustments made to help gain some momentum throughout the remainder of the SEC schedule. Specifically, let’s hope we finally get to see some extended minutes out of Jaland Lowe and Jayden Quaintance, who will reportedly enter the starting lineup.
It is an important one tonight. Let’s hope they can pull off the win.
