The Chicago Sky returned to action Tuesday night, facing a tough challenge with multiple key players sidelined against the league-best Minnesota Lynx, who entered the matchup with a 20–4 record.
It marked the fourth and final meeting between the two teams this season—all within the span of just two weeks.
While the Sky managed to steal one of those earlier matchups, Tuesday’s game didn’t go their way. The Lynx dominated from start to finish, cruising to a 91–68 victory behind 19-point performances from both Napheesa Collier and Kayla McBride.
For the Sky, Kia Nurse led the team with 16 points, while two-time All-Star forward Angel Reese notched another double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds—a milestone that led to a historic announcement from the WNBA.
Upon securing her 10th rebound in the second half, the league revealed that Reese is now the only player in WNBA history with multiple streaks of 10 or more consecutive double-doubles.

"Bro free her from the sky," a fan said.
Someone else added, "Reese had a rough game, but she still did her thing with offense and rebounding. Can't take that away from her. Nice try though."
Another person wrote, "She’s killin it."
"Win or lose. She is double doubles Barbie," one more fan commented.

While Angel Reese continues to have a remarkable rookie season—seemingly recording a double-double every time she steps on the floor—she struggled with ball security against the Lynx, committing a season-high nine turnovers.
As a team, the Sky turned the ball over 23 times compared to just eight by Minnesota. When you're already facing an elite team on the road, that kind of disparity is a recipe for disaster.
With the loss, Chicago drops to 7–16 as they continue their uphill battle to climb back into the postseason picture during the second half of the season.
