USWNT to face Argentina, Canada, Columbia in 2026 SheBelieves Cup

Another strong field for SheBelieves.

The United States Women’s National Team has lined up another solid slate of opponents for their annual friendly tournament. Today, U.S. Soccer announced the field for the 2026 SheBelieves Cup, which will take place in early March. The USWNT will play matches against Argentina, Canada, and Columbia during the tournament.

The USWNT will open up SheBelieves Cup play on March 1st against Argentina at GEODIS Park in Nashville, with kickoff at 5:00pm ET. The team will then face Canada on March 4th at 6:45pm ET at ScottsMiracle-Gro Field in Columbus. They will close out the window with a match against Colombia on March 7th at 3:30pm ET at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, New Jersey.

The Colombia match will also serve as a tribute match for USWNT legend Tobin Heath, who retired from soccer last July and will be inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame on May 1st. She will be honored in a pregame ceremony at Sports Illustrated Stadium, which sits just 25 miles from her hometown of Morristown, New Jersey.

The tournament field represents excellent competition for the USWNT as they prepare for the Concacaf W Championship in November, which will serve as qualification for the 2027 Women’s World Cup. In facing Argentina (30th in the world rankings), Canada (10th) and Colombia (20th), they’re playing against quality teams from the Americas that they could see in the knockout stage of the Women’s World Cup.

“These are three teams that will likely be in the World Cup in 2027 and of course we’ll likely see Canada in World Cup qualifying at the end of the year, so when focusing on our continued preparations and growth as a team, the SheBelieves Cup is of great value,” USWNT head coach Emma Hayes said in a statement. “Each team brings different strengths and will challenge us to find success in all parts of the field, which is exactly what we need as we continue our process to build toward the big events on the horizon.”

It’s the 11th year of SheBelieves Cup, and the USWNT have won the tournament 7 times. They lost in the finale last year to Japan and are hoping to get the trophy once again in this annual calendar fixture. They will hope to add an 8th title in March against a difficult field of opponents.
