Girls basketball roundup: Ionia edges Olivet; P-W and Bath stay perfect in CMAC

IONIA 47, OLIVET 44

IONIA — Tessa Lemke notched a team-high 18 points and hauled in nine rebounds to help the Bulldogs hold on and claim the CAAC White victory over Olivet (5-2, 1-2). Logan Thomas tallied nine points, five rebounds and two assists, Avery Hoppough finished with seven points and five rebounds and Josie Lee chipped in seven points for Ionia (5-2, 2-2).

DEWITT 51, EAST LANSING 44

EAST LANSING — The Panthers remained unbeaten in CAAC Blue play with a road win over East Lansing. Sydney Black had 22 points to lead the Trojans.

PEWAMO-WESTPHALIA 73, FOWLER 32

FOWLER — Alonna Thelen led the Pirates with a game-high 23 points with five three pointers as Pewamo-Westphalia picked up a CMAC road win over Fowler. Brenna Thelen tacked on 11 points for Pewamo-Westphalia (5-1, 4-0). Isabella Halfmann scored a team-best 11 points for the Eagles (0-6, 0-4).

BATH 46, LANSING CHRISTIAN 31

BATH — A 17-4 run in the third quarter help the Bees stay unbeaten and secure the CMAC victory over Lansing Christian. Africa Beltran notched 18 points and hauled in seven rebounds and Harper Williams added 10 points for Bath (6-0, 4-0). Alyssa Shank finished with seven points and Esther Lee had five points for the Pilgrims (2-3, 1-3).

EATON RAPIDS 42, LANSING CATHOLIC 27

Delaney Collins had a team-best 18 points to lead the Greyhounds (3-3, 3-0) in their CAAC White win over Lansing Catholic. Elle Lorente added nine points, nine rebounds and five blocks for Eaton Rapids. JV: Eaton Rapids 23, Lansing Catholic 13

FOWLERVILLE 45, PINCKNEY 28

FOWLERVILLE — Izzy Cox led the Gladiators with a team-high 17 points as they secured a nonleague home win over Pinckney (3-4). Mariah Kirby finished with eight points and Marissa Murray and Michaela Gulledge each added on six points for Fowlerville (3-3).

PORTLAND 65, LAKEWOOD 7

LAKE ODESSA — Lilly Thelen led all scorers with 16 points to help the Raiders pick up a CAAC White road victory over Lakewood (0-5, 0-4). Sella Spitzley tallied 15 points and Leigha Roberson chipped in 13 points for the Raiders (5-1, 3-0).

CHARLOTTE 60, SEXTON 23

Peyton Howarth made seven 3-pointers and scored a game-high 25 points to lead the Orioles (5-1, 3-1) to a CAAC White road victory over Sexton. Qu’Vyanna McEwen notched a team-best 11 points for the J-Dubbs (0-3, 0-2).

PORTLAND ST. PATRICK 59, POTTERVILLE 31

PORTLAND — Gracelyn Rockey led all scorers with 24 points and pulled down eight rebounds to propel the Shamrocks to a CMAC home victory over Potterville. Macie Leonard tallied 12 points and Lily Sandborn chipped in eight points and snagged three steals for Portland St. Patrick (4-1, 3-1). Remmi Lienerth and Addison Dickerson each tallied a team-best nine points for the Vikings (0-6, 0-4).

CORUNNA 54, CLIO 10

CLIO — Lizzie Dettman led all scorers with 13 points to help guide the Cavaliers to a Flint Metro League win over Clio (0-4, 0-3). Mackenzie LeCureux and Audrey Miller each tallied 10 points and Reachel Steinacker added on eight points for Corunna (3-3, 1-2).

BROOKLYN COLUMBIA CENTRAL 62, LESLIE 19

BROOKLYN — Alyssa Wing scored a team-best six points for the Blackhawks in a Cascades crossover defeat to Brooklyn Columbia Central (5-1). Hailey Creisher tacked on five points for Leslie (2-5).
