A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona has made his way back onto the transfer radar of Premier League outfit Chelsea.
That’s according to Fichajes, who highlight Fermín López as the player in question.
Youngster Fermín was for his part of course hotly tipped for a potential move to England with Chelsea this past summer.
After the Spaniard was earmarked as the ideal addition to Enzo Maresca’s squad, the Stamford Bridge brass tabled several offers for his signature.
In the end, however, all fell well short of Barcelona’s valuation.
As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the Spanish media is anything to go by, then Chelsea do not appear to have given up hope of bringing Fermín in… far from it.
As per a report from Fichajes, following the appointment of Liam Rosenior as new manager:
‘Chelsea see Fermín López as an ideal piece to sustain the offensive game and raise the competitive pace of the team. The offer being discussed is around €75 million, a sum that would present Barça with a difficult decision.’
Any such bid could be forthcoming as early as this month.
