Ferguson leads Roma over Lecce: “The more I play, the more I can score.”

Roma won 2-0 at Lecce thanks to goals from their forwards, Evan Ferguson and Artem Dovbyk.

The Irishman broke the deadlock in the first half with a fine finish from a Dybala assist.

After the match, Ferguson spoke to DAZN. “I’m happy with the away win,” the striker said. “The most important thing was the three points. Now we’ll reset and prepare for the next match.”

Regarding his teammate Dovbyk, Ferguson spoke about their relationship, which goes beyond simple competition for a place on the team. “We talk a lot and try to help each other,” Ferguson explained.

“We have a good relationship, regardless of the fact that we play in the same position. We give each other a lot of advice.”

Regarding Dovbyk’s injury, he added: “I don’t know if Dovbyk’s injury is the same as before, but he’s recently returned, and we’ll see how he goes for the next match.”

“Am I more confident? Strikers need to score, the more you play the more you can do it, so I say yes.”
