Two Minnesota Vikings aren't off to a hot start to their NFL careers. The team's sixth-round 2025 NFL Draft pick and undrafted free agent have been put on the active physically unable to perform (PUP) list as of Monday, July 21.

Specifics on their injuries have yet to be revealed.

Rookies Gavin Bartholomew and Chaz Chambliss are still technically part of the 90-player training camp roster, however, the tight end and outside linebacker cannot practice. They are still allowed to participate in meetings and rehab, though.

The former Pittsburgh tight end was rehabbing an undisclosed injury during the offseason, according to CBS Sports. Bartholomew is competing for the third tight end position on the roster behind T.J. Hockenson and Josh Oliver.

However, with now being placed on the PUP list, undrafted tight end Ben Yurosek shouldn't be counted out of that competition for the roster spot. The TE3 position will likely be between Bartholomew and Yurosek over Giovanni Ricci and second undrafted free agent tight end Bryson Nesbit.

As for Chambliss, the outside linebacker is missing his opportunity to show his "do-it-all" talent in training camp. He led the Georgia Bulldogs in sacks with 6.5 and had 86 total collegiate career tackles.

For the sake of the rookie's future with Minnesota in 2025-26, it's best for him to recover quickly to get right back into practicing and hopefully secure a roster spot as he's already in Andrew Van Ginkel's and Jonathan Greenard's shadows.

Both Bartholomew and Chambliss can return to practicing when they are healthy.
