A club has been named as showing some interest in signing a goalkeeper from Chelsea who has an uncertain future right now.

Filip Jorgensen actually had a very rare start for Chelsea at the weekend as he took part in the 1-1 draw against Manchester City.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea in for Ivory Coast international winger!

The Danish stopper actually played quite well, which was a step up from his recent form he had been showing. This form led to Enzo Maresca losing any trust in him and mainly just keeping Robert Sanchez in the sticks. Sanchez though, had a small injury so he could not start that game.

Jorgensen needs to play more football because it’s the World Cup this summer and he will obviously want to be heading to that as Denmark’s number of keeper. If he’s not playing much, then there is doubts whether that will happen.

So perhaps a move away this month whilst the January window is open will be the best thing for him?

According to Football London, Besiktas are showing interest in Chelsea goalkeeper Filip Jörgensen, who is open to exploring his options this month.

However, they go on to say that Chelsea currently have no plans to make any mid-season changes to their goalkeeper set-up.

So you’d assume by that last bit that that’s the end of this story then, right?

Maybe a new manager might fancy him?

Maresca is gone now of course and Liam Rosenior has now been officially confirmed as the new head coach of Chelsea.

You never know, maybe the new head coach might fancy Jorgensen more than Maresca did and give him some more chances? If he doesn’t end up leaving this winter of course.

However, Sanchez’s form has been really good of late.
