Othmane Maamma (20) only signed for Watford over the summer, joining from formative club Montpellier HSC following their relegation to Ligue 2. However, the Moroccan could be on the move again, according to a report from L’Équipe.
Since joining the EFL Championship side in the summer, he has made 12 appearances, scoring three goals and registering one assist. However, wary that they can sell the player for a significant profit, Watford would not be opposed to selling this January. Bought for €1.3m, any deal could be worth over €10m.
Strasbourg a destination for Maamma?
There is interest from Bournemouth, who are looking for attacking recruits, as per L’Équipe, with Antoine Semenyo expected to join Manchester City during the current window. And consistent with their strategy, BlueCo are also interested in the Morocco youth international.
BlueCo owns Chelsea and RC Strasbourg Alsace, with the most promising players often moving from the latter to the former. Maamma’s deal at Watford runs until 2029.
