A new voice for Rob Thomson
What has seemed like a formality for a while is now official. Don Mattingly will be the bench coach for the Phillies in 2026.
It’s a good hire for the team. Mattingly has had success as a bench coach with Toronto, as well as success as a major league manager for the Marlins and Dodgers. He’ll add a new voice to the coaching staff that Rob Thomson has assembled.
