MLB's July 31 trade deadline will be here before you know it, and this year's market centers around a established slugger.

Just two years after losing to the Texas Rangers in the World Series, the Arizona Diamondbacks now find themselves one game below .500 and in third place in the NL West. While they are technically within striking distance of making a push for a Wild Card spot as they sit 5.5 games back, teams around the league are beginning to circle like sharks.

The hot name on the market is D-Backs third baseman Eugenio Suarez, who has the most home runs in the National League with 36, and leads the MLB in RBIs with 86.

According to MLB insider Jon Heyman of the New York Post, the Seattle Mariners, Chicago Cubs and New York Yankees have all kicked the tires on Suarez, and Yankees fans are really hopeful they can land another slugger who would complement Aaron Judge.

"Lock in Yankees," commented one fan.

"The Yankees should definitely trade for Eugenio Suarez but at the same time be prepared for him to turn to dust as soon as gets to the Bronx," said a second.

"don’t think he’s a massive difference maker, but if the Yankees were serious, they’d do what they need to do to get Eugenio Suarez," wrote a third.

"I don’t like his defense at third base but his bat would make the Yankees, Mariners and Cubs better," added another.

"Yankees have to pick him up," chimed in another.

"The @Yankees need to run, not walk to sign Eugenio Suarez," urged another.

While the Yankees would be getting another power bat to add to the lineup, the move does come with a couple of downsides at this time. For starters, they'd have to part with a promising prospect or two.

However, the main concern in adding Suarez is that he's in the final year of his deal and would likely be a rental. It might be a risk worth taking for a Yankees team with a +109 run differential and a clear focus on offens; but that remains to be seen.
