At long last, TGL co-founder Rory McIlroy has won a match in the league he helped create.

McIlroy and his Boston Common Golf teammates — Keegan Bradley and first-timer Michael Thobjornsen — notched a 7-5 victory in their opening match of TGL Season 2 against the Los Angeles team of Collin Morikawa, Sahith Theegala and Justin Rose. Last season, Boston Common went winless, scoring just one point in the standings as a result of an overtime loss.

But those fortunes reversed Friday night thanks to Thorbjornsen's hot putter and some darts thrown by McIlroy. Check out some of the best moments from Friday's action inside the SoFi Center.

And again, Thorbjornsen... this time, for the win!

TGL rolls on with another match Tuesday at 5 p.m. ET on ESPN, featuring The Bay Golf Club (Shane Lowry, Wyndham Clark and Ludvig Aberg) facing off against Atlanta Drive GC (Billy Horschel, Chris Gotterup and Patrick Cantlay).
