Liverpool will clash heads with Fulham at Craven Cottage on Sunday as they look to secure a positive result at home in the Premier League. The Reds were held to a frustrating 0-0 draw at Anfield by Leeds United recently, so they would be eager to return to winning ways in the league this weekend.

Arne Slot will set his men up in a 4-2-3-1 formation once again and is expected to make some tweaks to his first team for this game. Milos Kerkez, Cody Gakpo and Alexis Mac Allister could all play from the start of this contest.

Defence

Alison Becker will operate in goal for the Reds after he kept a clean sheet in his last appearance. Ibrahima Konate will function alongside Virgil Van Dijk at the heart of the Liverpool backline as they look to keep a solid shape at the back throughout the 90 minutes.

Dominik Szoboszlai will try to impress as a makeshift right-back, while Milos Kerkez hopes to catch the eye on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.

Conor Bradley and Andy Robertson will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Curtis Jones and Ryan Gravenberch will play as Slot’s holding midfielders as they focus on winning the 50-50 duels in the middle of the park.

The talented trio of Cody Gakpo, Alexis Mac Allister and Florian Wirtz will play just ahead of them as part of the Liverpool attack. All three of them need to combine well if the Reds are to come out on top at Craven Cottage this weekend.

Jeremie Frimpong and Trey Nyoni will have to be content with a place on the bench as they await their chance to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if needed.

Attack

Hugo Ekitike will lead the line for the Merseyside club in the final third. He has to find a way to be a potent threat up top after failing to score against Leeds United in midweek.

Federico Chiesa will be named on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the final quarter of the game if the Reds are in need of a goal by then.
