Roma, Il Resto del Carlino reports, could enter the negotiations, taking advantage of the uncertainty surrounding his contract renewal with Bologna, and look to Freuler to strengthen their midfield.
This could prove an interesting opportunity, especially considering the respect Gasperini has always had for the Swiss midfielder.
Furthermore, the 1992-born midfielder’s contract with the Bologna club expires in June 2026, further evidence that a separation could be imminent.
