Pedraza’s long-standing tenure with Villarreal is set to conclude this summer when his contract expires, making him one of the most attractive free-agent opportunities on the market. While Lazio are currently finalizing the details of an agreement that would see the 29-year-old arrive for the 2026/27 season, the report indicates that a winter arrival has not been ruled out. There is a concrete possibility that the deal could be brought forward to January, allowing the Biancocelesti to integrate the defender immediately.
The strategy follows an initial enquiry made by the club in late December. With everything currently moving in the right direction, Lazio appear confident of securing the player regardless of whether he joins this month or as a free agent in June.
