Injury updates for Week 18
The Washington Commanders were inside the bubble for today’s practice due to high winds in Ashburn, VA. The team is preparing to travel to Philadelphia on Sunday to face the Eagles in the season finale. It’s the holiday season, and that means some players have been dealing with illness over the past few weeks. Last week Chris Rodriguez Jr. missed the Cowboys game on Christmas day due to illness. Bill Croskey-Merritt missed practice yesterday, but was a full participant today. WR Treylon Burks is the latest player to get hit with an illness, and he didn’t practice.
Two other players who didn’t practice today, and they are both expected to miss Sunday’s game. Dan Quinn said QB Marcus Mariota was doubtful due to the quad injury he’s still dealing with. Laremy Tunsil is also a long-shot to play as he’s still dealing with the oblique injury that kept him inactive for the last two games. Brandon Coleman has filled in at LT, but he was added to today’s injury list with a knee injury. Tomorrow’s practice will be a big one for him.
Daron Payne (back) and LB Nick Bellore (concussion) both missed the Cowboys game, but were full participants again today. Payne and Bellore are on track to play in the season finale.
