(WTAJ) — Steelers legenda Hines Ward and James Harrison will have to continue to wait on their opportunity to make the Pro Football Hall of Fame, the two Steelers’ semifinalists were not among the 15 players who moved into the final round of voting Tuesday.

Ward and Harrison had legendary careers in Pittsburgh. Ward was the franchise’s all-time leading receiver when he retired in 2011. He was the MVP of Super Bowl XL. Harrison was apart of that team, and the Super Bowl XLIII, winning two Lombardi Trophies in Pittsburgh. He led the franchise in sacks when he called it a career in 2017.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame named 15 players as semifinalists, including former Pitt star Larry Fitzgerald who is second all-time in NFL history in receiving yards and receptions.

The officially 2026 Hall of Fame class will be unveiled during Super Bowl week on February, 5.
