Rui Hachimura will miss the next two games due to soreness in his right calf
Los Angeles Lakers forward Rui Hachimura is expected to be out for about a week, said head coach JJ Redick ahead of their matchup against the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday.
Hachimura was added to the Lakers injury report on Monday due to soreness in his right calf. Redick said the 27-year-old suffered the injury two games ago, which was against the Rockets on Christmas.
“He’ll miss a couple of games and then we'll get him ramped up and hopefully he’s playing again in the next week," Redick said.
Those next two games will be against the Memphis Grizzlies in a three-day span.
In 27 games (27 starts), Hachimura has averaged 12.7 points on 44% shooting from 3 and 52.1% overall.
The Lakers are 20-10 at the 30-game mark for fifth place in the West. They are coming off a blowout win over the Kings on Sunday.
