Louisiana Tech rallies in a turnover-heavy second half to beat Coastal Carolina 23-14.
La Tech would start with the football, but a quick Try Kukuk interception swung momentum in the Chanticleers favor. Nothing would come from the INT, but their offense would start to click.
Tad Hudson, their backup quarterback, hit Dominic Knicely for a 20 yard score. The made extra point made it 7-0.
Keagan Kent, former Evangel place kicker, made a 42 yard field goal for the Bulldogs. It was Kent’s first college try!
Coastal Carolina would score another touchdown 90 seconds later when Hudon hit Robby Washington for sixteen yards. They led 14-3 at the half.
The momentum, that was once in Coastal Carolina’s favor, would slowly start to shift after another Bulldogs field goal. Their defense would block a Chanticleers field goal try on the next drive.
Two fourth quarter touchdowns and another field goal would help La Tech complete the comeback, ultimately winning 23-14.
Kukuk finsihed 9-19, 114 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT. He also led the Bulldogs in rushing with 105 yards on 19 carries.
Hudson, who started strong, ended with 25-49, 311 yards, 2 TDs, 2 INTs.
