David Pollack makes Georgia football vs. Ole Miss score prediction

Former Georgia defensive end David Pollack predicts the winner of the Sugar Bowl between the Georgia Bulldogs and Ole Miss Rebels

Former Georgia Bulldogs All-American and college football expert David Pollack previewed the Sugar Bowl on his podcast "See Ball Get Ball". No. 3 Georgia plays the No. 6 Ole Miss Rebels on Jan. 1 at 8 p.m. ET. Georgia is favored to win in a rematch between to SEC foes that faced off in October with Georgia winning 43-35.

"Can they (Ole Miss) get stops?" Pollack asked. "(Getting stops) Is obviously a big deal. If I'm Ole Miss, I lovethe plan I had last time. I played pitch and catch. I was very successful with it."

However, Pollack emphasizes that Ole Miss has to have balance. The Rebels managed just 88 rushing yards (but four rushing touchdowns) in the first meeting against Georgia. Ole Miss relied on quarterback Trinidad Chambliss for nearly half of their rushing production.

Of course, he thinks the Rebels need to get more stops than last time. In the first meeting, Ole Miss did not force a single Georgia punt, but held Georgia to three field goals, which kept the game close.

Since the first meeting, Pollack thinks that Georgia's pass defense, especially the cornerbacks has improved significantly. He doesn't think any college football experts believe Ole Miss' personnel is better than Georgia.

He says "a system built around a QB that can get it out and get it to their playmakers" is a good formula to beat Georgia, but he doesn't think the Rebels will win. He predicts Georgia will win 31-20.

"I got a lot of confidence in Georgia," Pollack said. "I think they're going to win the football game and set up ashowdown with Ohio State in the semifinals."

Pollack's prediction: Georgia 31, Ole Miss 20
