Report – Inter Milan Reluctant To Give Up On Their Pursuit Of Atalanta Owned Wingback Despite High Price Tag

Serie A heavyweights Inter Milan reportedly have no intention of pulling the plug on their pursuit of Marco Palestra.

According to Sport Mediaset via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri remain hellbent on signing the highly-rated Atalanta loanee this winter.

Marco Palestra has emerged as the top candidate to fill Denzel Dumfries’ shoes at San Siro.

Indeed, the Dutch wingback could be on his way out at the end of the season.

Dumfries’ affordable €25 million release clause will come into effect next June.

Therefore, it’ll be virtually impossible to prevent the 29-year-old from leaving.

Inter Milan Eager to Sign Marco Palestra This Winter

Despite Palestra being on loan at Cagliari, Inter are exploring ways to persuade Atalanta to recall him early.

Offloading out-of-favor midfielder Davide Frattesi to Juventus would secure the necessary funds to match Atalanta’s €40 million asking price.

However, the Turin giants have so far been hesitant to open talks with Inter due to the Nerazzurri’s high demands.

Another potential solution for the San Siro outfit would be to sign Palestra on loan with an obligation to buy.
