As we approach the end of 2025, Real Madrid conducted a special training session today where the first-team players were greeted by fans and children at the Alfredo Di Stefano stadium.
It was the penultimate training of the year for Los Blancos, who will kickstart the new year with a home game against Real Betis on January 4.
Speaking to Real Madrid’s official media after the training session, the first-team players sent their final message to fans to close out 2025.
Real Madrid players’ final message for 2025
Vinicius Jr. was one of the first to speak, with the Brazilian highlighting Real Madrid’s struggles in 2025.
“This day gets more special every year,” he said. “We know we have to improve. I’m still learning a lot from this club and these fans. We’ve no doubt we’re going to win again and be at the top. That’s Real Madrid: it demands a lot, and we know where we stand.”
Thibaut Courtois also reflected on the joy of training in front of the supporters. “It’s a joy to see the fans here,” the goalkeeper said. “It’s a joy to see the fans here, who often don’t have the opportunity to see us train.”
Looking back at the past year, Courtois was honest about the team’s shortcomings. “In 2025, we didn’t win a trophy and that’s the thorn in our side. We want to bring joy to the fans again in 2026 and we want to keep winning as a team.”
Jude Bellingham emphasised that the squad is hungry for success. “We want titles and the fans deserve them. It’s been a great day for us seeing our fans. We need that intensity in training to prepare for the match against Betis and the Super Cup,” he said.

The midfielder added that the atmosphere made the session even better. “It was a good training session, and even better because of the fans. We want to keep winning titles; the fans deserve it.”
Rodrygo, meanwhile, expressed how special it felt to return to the pitch with the crowd present. “It’s wonderful to repay the affection of our fans. It’s been a long time and it’s wonderful to be back here and feel the affection of our fans,” he said.
He admitted that the dynamic changes when the stands are full. “You feel the pressure training in front of them because we’re used to training without people, but it’s wonderful to have them close and to repay a little of that affection they give us.”
Dani Ceballos described the fans as an integral part of their daily lives.
“It’s a day to make the children happy. This is our everyday family, the one that supports us through thick and thin. It’s a special day for everyone: for the children and for us,” said the midfielder, who could be axed next summer in order to accommodate Nico Paz.
Ceballos, though, looked toward the end of the year with optimism despite recent changes.
“We want to make them happy before the year ends. There are many things to improve, but we’re a team that’s getting better and better. We haven’t been together long, and the best is yet to come.”
Fran Garcia spoke about his personal connection to the supporters. “Making them smile is always good. It’s a special day to be able to share with the little ones and the people who come here to support us,” he noted.
“I also come from humble beginnings, I’ve felt it like them, and being able to dedicate a gesture to them and make them smile is always good,” he added.
Young talent Gonzalo Garcia expressed his pride in being a part of the first team during such an event.
“We want the Champions League in 2026,” he said. “It’s very special to share this moment with all the children. I’ve been here playing many matches, and now doing this in front of everyone fills me with pride.”
He outlined his ambitious goals for the coming year, notably voicing his desire to win the UEFA Champions League.
“I’m very happy to fulfil my dream of being a Real Madrid first-team player. I want 2026 to be a great year, both personally and collectively, and to win titles like the Champions League,” he said.
Raul Asencio was visibly moved by the reception he received. “I’m very grateful to the fans. It’s something different, beautiful, and it’s always special to be in front of them. From minute one, I’ve felt incredible warmth; I’ve always felt them very close,” he said.
He expressed his surprise and gratitude for the individual support. “I didn’t expect it, and I’m truly grateful every time I hear my name.”
Andriy Lunin enjoyed the festive atmosphere after returning from the break. “It’s great to feel this atmosphere and the affection of the fans. After the holidays, it’s great to feel this atmosphere and the affection of the fans again.”
He reiterated the collective responsibility of the squad. “We have to try to bring success and trophies to all Madrid fans. We are all aware of where we are and we have the same message and objective.”
Eduardo Camavinga stressed the importance of performing well for the supporters. “We have to have a great season for our fans,” he stated. “I’m very happy to be with the fans, because they don’t get many chances to see us and today we have to enjoy this with them.”

The midfielder acknowledged their unwavering loyalty through difficult times. “I’m very happy, because they’ve always supported us through thick and thin. We have to have a great season for our fans.”
Camavinga is gearing up for an important year ahead, with Xabi Alonso, in particular, counting on the Frenchman to move past his injury woes.
Dean Huijsen looked ahead to the immediate challenges in January. “We want to start 2026 with the Super Cup. Everyone comes to see us, and it’s special for the children and the fans that it’s during the holidays,” said the young Spaniard.
He added that the team is ready to compete for silverware. “I’m feeling good personally, and we hope to start 2026 with the Super Cup. It would be the best thing, and we’re going for it.”
Alvaro Carreras thanked the fans for showing up during the festive period. “From day one, the fans welcomed me incredibly. I appreciate them coming to support us on Christmas Day. It’s very important that they continue to support us, that everything will be alright.”
He emphasised the need for hard work and unity moving forward. “We have to keep working, that everything continues to go well. From the first day I arrived, my teammates and the fans welcomed me incredibly.”
Finally, Antonio Rüdiger summed up the mood of the day. “It’s a very important day for our fans. It’s a very important day for us and for our fans after Christmas.”
