After a brief holiday break, Barcelona have resumed training as they prepare for the second half of the season.

Barcelona’s 2026, after all, will start with an away game against Catalan rivals Espanyol, in what is expected to be a heated encounter.

Upon their return to training, the club have been handed a major boost as well, with no less than three key players returning to training after a brief period on the sidelines.

Three Barcelona stars return to training

Recent videos and images of Barcelona’s training session from today have confirmed that three players in Pedri, Ronald Araujo and Dani Olmo, have all returned to training.

This serves as a massive boost for the Blaugrana, who have been without the services of Olmo and Araujo in the last few weeks for very different reasons.

While Olmo picked up an injury earlier in the month, Araujo has been absent since Barcelona’s defeat to Chelsea, where he made a silly error. The defender has since taken time out due to mental health reasons.

Recent reports had indicated that there might be a delay in Araujo’s return to training, but it appears the defender has made it back in time.

Pedri, meanwhile, had missed Barcelona’s last league game due to a calf injury. But he, too, has returned to training.

However, it must be noted that the return of these three players to training does not guarantee their participation against Espanyol.

Olmo and Araujo, in particular, remain doubtful for the Catalan derby, although it won’t be surprising to see the latter at least make the bench.
