The longtime Wildcats staffer, Mark Perry, will remain in Lexington as Will Stein builds his Kentucky football staff.
Kentucky Football will retain a familiar and important behind-the-scenes piece as the program transitions into the Will Stein era.
Mark Perry is expected to remain with the Wildcats, continuing a tenure that dates back to 2019, according to Nick Roush of KSR.
Perry has served as Kentucky’s senior offensive analyst and director of high school relations, roles that have quietly made him one of the most influential connectors within the program. After Vince Marrow left, Perry also took on responsibilities as the program’s NFL liaison, further expanding his impact.
While not a household name, Perry’s value inside the Joe Craft Football Training Facility is well-known.
A former high school head coach, Perry brings more than 20 years of coaching experience at both the high school and college levels. His deep relationships across the Commonwealth, from Pikeville to Paducah, have been instrumental in strengthening Kentucky’s walk-on program and maintaining recruiting pipelines throughout the state. He previously served as head coach at Lexington Catholic from 2014–17 and worked alongside Neal Brown at Troy and West Virginia before returning to UK.
As Stein assembles his staff, keeping Perry in place ensures continuity, local ties, and a trusted presence during a pivotal reset for Kentucky football.
